PIKE CO., AL (WSFA) - A two-vehicle crash just north of Brundidge claimed the life of a Banks woman and a North Carolina teen Friday morning and injured four others.
Alabama State Troopers say the accident happened Friday morning on Alabama 93 at the 5.5 mile marker, 2.6 miles north of Brundidge at 9:55 a.m.
Tammy Johnson, 44 of Banks, was killed when the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country van she was driving collided with a 2013 Nissan Altima driven by 27-year-old Marcus Peoples of Warner Robins, GA.
Peoples was injured as well as four other passengers, two in each van.
Troopers listed the injured parties as 19-year-old Joshua Townsend of Banks, 23-year-old Tyri Bradham of Banks, 23-year-old Leslie Peoples of Daleville, and 14-year-old Celeste Burgess of Winston Salem, NC.
Celeste Burgess was pronounced dead at a local hospital Friday afternoon as a result of her injuries.
