@ 11:31 am.  Theft of Property 3rd. Will Logan Rd.  Victim (David J. Kirkland) stated an unknown suspect removed the tag from his vehicle without permission.

@ 11:57 am. Burglary 3rd/Theft of Property 2nd.  Faust Ave. Complainant (Clee T. Peters) stated an unknown suspect entered property and removed weed-eaters without permission.

@ 12:27 pm. Theft of Property 3rd. Andrews Ave.  Victim (Keith Evans) stated an unknown suspect took his android tablet from a bench while he was in the restroom.

@ 4:57 pm. Unlawful B & E of Vehicle/Theft of Property 3rd.  Wal-Mart.  Victim (James C. McLendon) stated an unknown suspect removed a pellet gun from the bed of his truck without permission.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 10, 2013

@ 1:21 pm. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hull St. During a traffic stop, suspect (Steve J. Sullivan) was found to have drug paraphernalia on his person.

@ 3:30 pm. Unlawful B&E of Vehicle/Theft of Property 3rd. Larry’s BBQ. Victim (Brandon S. Fulford) stated an unknown suspect entered his vehicle and removed property without permission.

@ 3:58 pm. Menacing.  Boykin Ave. Victim (Deandra Hill) stated he was approached by an unknown B/M who cocked a rifle and pointed it at the victim before leaving the scene.

@ 5:26 pm. Robbery 3rd. Shell Station. Victim (Rachel Hammerle) stated an unknown suspect, came into the store and demanded she open the register. Suspect took money and left the premises.

Authorities seek sex offender who failed to register

ABBEVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Authorities are asking for the Wiregrass community's help in locating a sex offender who is wanted for failing to register.

Investigators say 61-year-old Johnny Harrell Hutto has been in the Graceville, Florida and Geneva County, Alabama area, but his current location is unknown.

Anyone with information regarding Hutto's location is asked to call the Henry County Sheriff's Office at 334-585-3131 or CrimeStoppers at 334-585-5200.

Police investigating Shell Food Mart robbery

Ozark Police were notified of a potential robbery at the Shell Food Mart located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 231 and Deese Road at approximately 1:50 p.m. on January 10, 2013. Upon arrival of law enforcement it
was determined that a white male entered the business and proceeded to the counter where he demanded the
clerk open the register which the clerk did meet his demands. The suspect fled the business on foot. From indications given to law enforcement it is believed the suspect may have fled the area in a black newer model Cadillac. The suspect did not produce any weapons and it is unknown if he was armed.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’9” to 5’11” tall weighing 150 to 170 pounds. He had dark colored
hair and was last seen wearing faded blue shirt, a blue hat with a white bandana wrapped around the top of the
hat and possibly blue jeans.

The robbery continues to be investigated by the Wiregrass Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force.

Ozark man arrested on theft charges

Ozark man arrested on theft charges

On January 3, 2013 the Dothan Police Department responded to a theft in progress called in by security members of Wal-Mart (4310 Montgomery Highway). Officers responding to the area were advised of the description of the suspect that had fled after stealing an electronic item from the business. An alert patrolmen responding to the call spotted the suspect leaving the area and performed a traffic stop during which the suspect was taken into custody bringing the case to a close.

Curtis Williams, black male, 51 years of age, of Ozark, Alabama was arrested and charged with Second Degree Theft with a $15,000 bond.

All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

@ 11:38 am. Domestic Violence 3rd, Harassing Communications.  Leatherwood Ct. Victim (Ryan Gore) stated suspect (Angela C. Gore) continues to text and annoy him after being asked to stop several times.

@ 11:40 am. Harassment.  Wal-Mart.  Victim (Lori K. Byrd) stated suspect (Angela Gore) followed her and a friend’s children around the store. 

@ 12:10 pm. Domestic Dispute. Newton Ave. (Shaneka McDaniels) and (Chenells McDaniel) were arguing over personal matters.

@ 3:10 pm.  Theft of Property 3rd.  Murphy USA.  Complainant (Ashley Hayes) stated an unknown suspect pumped fuel and left the premises without paying.
