Two arrested for burglary, criminal mischief

On April 09, 2013 Dale County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to South County Road 59  in Midland City in reference to a “burglary-in-progress.”

At approximately 8:22am the Ozark-Dale County E911 center received an call for assistance from the Midland City Police Department in reference to a burglary in progress.

An alert neighbor observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway and approached the residence to investigate further.  As the citizen approached the residence (2) black males were observed running out from behind the residence into the woods.  A 3rd suspect fled the scene in a vehicle after the citizen produced a firearm.

The citizen was able to give dispatchers a description of the suspects as well as the suspect’s vehicle.

TUESDAY, APRIL 9, 2013

@ 1:38 am.  Minor in Possession of Alcohol.  Hwy 105.  Suspects (Latreice Williams) and (Shaquitta V. Richards) were reported as having an altercation in the road.  Suspects were found to be under the influence of alcohol.

@ 2:09 am.  Theft of Property 3rd/Criminal Trespass 3rd.  N. Union Ave.  Victim (Robert G. Andrews) stated an unknown suspect removed property from his porch without permission.

@ 2:28             am.  Assault 3rd/Criminal Mischief 3rd.  Marley Mill Rd.  Victim (Kurstea Whitt) stated suspect (Benjamin J. Spears) struck her several times and busted her vehicle windshield with a brick.

@ 12:34 am.  Domestic Dispute.  Harris Rd.  (Douglas G. Davis) and (Kristie A. Chambers) were arguing over personal matters. 

@ 10:47 am.  Criminal Mischief 3rd/Criminal Trespass 3rd.  Ozark Villas. An unknown suspect broke the window of a vacant apartment and made entry. 

@ 2:52 pm.  Distribution of Controlled Substance.  Harris Rd. 

@ 5:40 pm.  Theft of Property 3rd.  US Hwy 231.  Complainant (Jason Carter) stated suspect (Talmadge L. McNeil) took merchandise from the store without paying. 

@ 4:48 pm.  Theft of Property 3rd.  Noah Circle.  Victim (Jamilua Morris) stated suspect (Sanobho Karki) called and stated he could fix her credit for payment.  Victim sent money and has had no services rendered.

Two arrested for theft from Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church

On March 29th 2013 Dale County Sheriffs Deputies responded to Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Level Plains in reference to the theft of the church's air conditioning unit.

During the investigation the Enterprise Police Department's Detective Division  contacted Dale County Sheriff's Investigators with information regarding the theft.

On April 02, 2013 Investigators arrested Skylor Wyatt Thames and Cody Barber both of Enterprise. Both Thames and Barber were charged with Theft of Property 1st and transported to the Dale County Jail.

Additional arrests are forthcoming.

@ 8:43 am.  Attempting to Elude a Police Officer/Reckless Endangerment.  Suspect (Fontez A. Curlee) attempted to elude the officer who responded to a possible burglary suspect. Suspect fled from the officer at a high rate of speed.  

@ 10:04 am.  Lost Property.  Ozark.  Victim (James Edwards) stated he lost his tag in an unknown location.

@ 10:28 am.  Criminal Trespass 2nd.  Candlewick Blvd.  Victim (Jacquelin L. Parker) stated he observed suspect (Fontez A. Curlee) coming from the wood line behind a residence. 

@ 11:00 am.  Harassment.  Ozark.  Victim (Mark D. Thomas) stated suspect (Tanisha L. Jenkins) has been following him around and calling his work trying to collect a debt.

@ 1:09 am.  Criminal Mischief 3rd.  Newton Ave.  Victim (Whitney Leigh Johnston) stated she noticed tires on her vehicle were flat.  Victim stated she had argued with her neighbors earlier that evening.

@ 2:10 am.  Harassment.  Newton Ave.  Victim (Zaceria H. Bradley) stated suspect (Christopher A. Tucker) threatened him with bodily harm. Suspect also threatened to damage his vehicle.

@ 8:33 am.  Harassment.  Acker Ave. Victim (Jarao F. Smith) stated suspect (Anita Shipman Karibu) followed her while she was driving making her fear for her safety. 

@ 12:01 pm.  Theft of Property 3rd.  Newton Ave.  Victim (Gregory F. Treadway) stated an unknown suspect removed his lawn furniture without permission.

@ 8:21 pm.  Domestic Violence 3rd, Criminal Mischief/Domestic Violence 3rd, Harassing Communications.  Orange Ln.  Victim (Jacqueline Wilson) stated suspect (Billy J. Jones) has been banned from the property.  Suspect came to her residence and kicked her door.  Suspect also hides in the woods behind her house.

@ 9:21 pm.  Delayed Accident Report. Andrews Ave.  Complainant (Hartley Ramsey II) stated a canine ran in front of his vehicle.

@ 11:39 am.  Burglary 3rd/Criminal Mischief 3rd.  Lakeview Rd. Complainant (Ann M. Darling) stated an unknown suspect forcibly entered her sister’s residence.

@ 12:12 pm. Criminal Mischief 3rd.  Newton Ave.  Victim (Bruce W. Thompson) stated suspect (Stephanie A. Strops) struck a structure in his yard and left without speaking with him.
