Wiregrass authorities issuing reward for information on night club shooting incident | Crime
NEWTON, AL (WSFA) - The Dale County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a fight developed into a shooting at a night club on Saturday.
Authorities were dispatched to the Liquid Lounge Club in Newton at 1:57 a.m. Saturday in response to several subjects fighting. Authorities were also advised that witnesses heard gunshots coming from the club's parking lot.
Multiple calls came in to Dale County E911. One indicated that a subject was lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.
When they arrived on scene, authorities located a black male in the parking lot who had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper chest area. He was transported to a local hospital and was considered to be in critical condition. Another black male also sustained a gunshot wound to his upper arm. That injury was considered non-life threatening.
Authorities also located two additional black males that had been physically assaulted during this altercation.
Law Enforcement is issuing a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of a shooting suspect in this case.
